Vintage 1950s Gordon Russell Ellipse Sideboard

A beautiful sideboard with a striking pattern of overlapping circles and ellipses, designed by W H ‘Curly’ Russell for British manufacturer Gordon Russell. The frame is veneered in mahogany and the door and drawer fronts in indian rosewood which are incised to create the pattern by displaying the beech wood underneath. It has two cupboards and two drawers, one containing a cutlery compartment.

The item has been refinished and is generally in a very good vintage condition.
