1950s Gordon Russell Ellipses Sideboard
Known as the Ellipses sideboard due to its striking pattern of overlapping circles and ellipses, this piece was made by Gordon Russell and designed by their chief designer W H Russell in the 1950s. The frame is veneered in mahogany and the door and drawer fronts in Indian rosewood which are routed to create the pattern by displaying the beech wood underneath. It has a double cupboard with an internal shelf and two drawers, one containing a cutlery compartment.
The item has been refinished and is generally in excellent condition with the odd sign of wear and tear.
