Italian Walnut Chest of Drawers by Paola Buffa, 1950s

Fabulous 1950s Italian walnut chest of drawers attributed to Paola Buffa. This piece has lots of lovely detail. It has 4 drawers, 2 large and 2 small with drop round brass handles, the middle handles aslo double as keys for the working locks. The drawer fronts are curved like cushions and contained within a curved moulding. The top has a striking chevron pattern that can be seen through the clear glass top with a brass studs running across the raised back. Its all sits on elegant legs that are finished with a rosewood cap.

The item has been refinished and is generally in very good condition with some signs of wear and tear including cosmetic repairs to the top right hand side and across the drawers to the left.
